Point of control (POC)
The price with the most traded volume over a period.
The point of control (POC) is the price level with the highest traded volume over the chosen period. It is the price both buyers and sellers found acceptable for longest, so the market returns to it more often than to a random point. The POC is read from a volume profile, where it is the widest bar. The level acts as a magnet in a quiet market and as a reference for the return after an impulse.
