Liquidity sweep
A quick push beyond a level and back: stops taken, then a reversal.
A liquidity sweep is a move that briefly breaks a significant extreme and immediately returns. The point of it is that obvious levels have stops and pending orders behind them; building a large position needs opposing volume, and that is where it is taken. It looks like a false breakout. What distinguishes a sweep from a real break is the behaviour afterwards: a real break holds beyond the level, a sweep is back inside the range within a few candles.
